More layouts and continueing being creative

Good morning....well, for me it is ....I just got up after coming from night shift this morning. I made some more layouts and even came up with some new designs while doing that.....a new kit? Could well be ....we will see where the inspiration will take me. I'm off work on rota break a few days now so I will have some time to play in my graphic programs and hopefully do some other art and craft stuff. I should have plenty of time tonight as well, Reggie will be at tournament so I'll definitely have time.

Oh yes, and I did a traditional scrap page as well . I wanted something where I could attach the red roses which have dried nicely and maybe something else from my little collection.So this is the result....I plan to get a scrap page frame for it , a normal one won't fit as this has quite a dimension to it with the rose and the little sweet from the restaurant attached to it.

I have taken up belly dance again. Datura does on line classes, so I can fit that into my schedule whenever I want.I have lost the extra pounds I put on in the USA ,that was quite easy. Now the scales are stuck again, so I will have to work harder to shift some more. That work-out seat is doing some good.Even though I have not lost more,the aching muscles are worth seeing myself getting more toned up ...patience Snowy... it won't happen over night, specially not with an under active thyroid,PCOS and now having hormone changes due to starting menopause. But I will get there in the end! I leave you with a pice of music which has become one of my favourites, I love the lyrics and her performance was outstanding. This is the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest this year-Sweden's entry.
I can so see myself to use this song for a belly dance choreography...

That's all again for now.... I'll be back when I can get some more done. Thursday night is the first Pats game....and I'm off work, so I will definitely be watching ! Go Pats,lol.

Hi all, just a quick post to say thank you for the two awards I got. One was passed on from Kyra and another from Edna.

Favourite colour-I love black , but also other colours- it just depends on what mood I am in

Giving or getting gifts? both....I love giving gifts and surprising others , but I also love being surprised
Favourite day- Days off work,lol...and days I get to see and talk with Reggie

1)the moment I held my son Shaun for the first time
2)doing the ECDL Computer license and passing it with fantastic results (better than some of the locals here, and English isn't even my first language,lol)
3)not wanting to be mean in any way, but the moment I held the Divorce papers in my hands was great.... you probably cannot imagine the relief and feeling of freedom after years of being unhappy
4)two recent dates /months....Aug 2011 and February 14th....when Reggie appeared in my life and Valentines Day, when he sent me the song he wrote and recorded himself, I'm one of the few he has shared that with and it means a lot to me, plus June 20th-meeting him in person the first time, the walks, June 26th at the Melting Pot, the moment we got out of the car at night and watched the stars .... I could go on,lol

Part 4 of the freebie series

Good morning,
Woke up to heavy rain again this morning ...what's new??? And last night I was dreaming I was by the river , but it was all white, I was walking in the snow and snowflakes were falling around me. It was nice-peaceful. I must have been working on this layouts and photos too much ,lol.....now I'm even dreaming of it. Yes, you got it ! I was working on more layouts last night before I went to bed and they are the pics from the 6 mile walk we did along the river.
It's another late shift for me today and I'm really looking forward to tonight after work ,Reggie said he would see me on Skype to chat. Highlight of my day !
And I was lucky last night....Mediafire was actually working for change and I managed to get all 4 files uploaded ,so I can post the new links today.

More layouts...

Hi again,
I'm too tired to get all my craft stuff out, but working on the laptop in my little bit of spare time is another matter. I managed to get a few more layouts done.
Vacation feeling is definitely over for both of us , I have managed to get some overtime for the next couple of months, and Reggie is so busy and stressed out that he mostly goes to bed after work and I barely see him. I'm a little bit sad about about it,but that's okay, I understand how worn out he is after getting up each morning around 4.30 am and working so many hours each week.I'm dead tired myself after only two early shifts and getting up at 4.30 am, and he does that 6 days in a row, and I have known him to even work the Sunday and another week straight through without a break.
Yesterday was Lughnassadh , but with working the early shift I did not have much time to celebrate this Pagan day. However ,I did a little bit in the evening, before talking to Reggie for a very short time before I told him to go to bed, because I could literally see how worn out he was. It really makes me value every single minute I can get with him.

lol, Kyra writes: You'll have lovely layouts to remember your trip. Brrrr, I could do without the snake LOL!
Ha. now you are going to love day shifts, because the evening is for Reggie, LOL.
How a person can change her mind, hey???

For me it was wonderful to see that snake out in the wild,.We don't get those here and I have to go to a zoo to see one....so seeing one in it's natural habitat was special for me. Plus they are really quite beautiful if you look at the pattern and colours. But then I'm just a nature freak anyway and can find beauty everywhere outside. Even in the wings of a dragonfly.Oh , and the post on your blog about the toads made me laugh... "doing some sexy thing LOL and yesterday I saw a tiny little new born!" ...let them have their fun as well,lol.
Here some more layouts.On this first one I applied a "soft focus" to the picture and made it slightly trasparent to get this effect.Then I erased the edge of the pic with a high transparent eraser.

I prefer the pics without frames in the moment for these layouts, but to create this frame effect I cropped a section out of the picture and added it as a new layer.... I like the dimensional   effect it gives to the layout.

I cropped the photo three times in the next layout, just to make clear how large that rock I am sitting on actually is.Reggie took the pic from above to get this perspective.

And Reggie is as much a nature freak as I am, he also loves being by the water. It's nice to have that in common with him. A lot of people wouldn't even pay attention to these little creatures in the woods or by the river , we actually look out for them.
These are just the picture pages, I will make another page to each one, which tells a little bout the pics shown.
Anyway, its late and time for bed...late shifts and then nights for the next days ....and I have more folders to upload for the next freebie part soon.

Freebie part 3 and new kit ready

Good morning,
...night shift recovery went well. I used to love those shifts, but I am seriously beginning to dislike them because they prevent me from being able to see and chat with Reggie on Skype.
But at least I had the weekend off ...
Just been reading my comments and Kyra tells me about an award....thanks for that, will head over to your blog after this post. Oh, and that torture seat seems to be working, together with eating more sensibly my scales showed 6 pounds less this morning. That's not a bad loss in two weeks, I'm happy with that. Brave? I wouldn't say I'm brave,lol... it's more a case of feeling better in myself, personal pride , living healthier and apart from that I need to be fit to keep Reggie on his feet (or on his back or knees) hehehehe....
I've been journaling some more and making more layouts, but some of them I find too personal to show.I'm open but not that open,lol ! Some things I have to keep private. But here are a few more layouts I made. This is a double page and supposed to be next to each other.

I think that I'm comfortable and loving it there shows well in the pic , I look relaxed, happy and at ease,lol.And that was taken the day after I arrived there...as the next layout states...

Apart from that I finished the kit I worked on last.
I called it "In my heart" ...just because he is.

And I made another Dreamcatcher.
This one was a wish from Deb for one of her boys.I still have to make another for her other little boy.

Journaling....

Good morning peeps,
it's the start of my night shifts later tonight so I have some time to post again. Plus the sitting down does my old muscles good in the moment ! I have started to add another work-out to my usual program. OK, I cycle almost every day , my legs are just fine and I burn calories. I do Pilates and often use some small weights with it, so my arm are good as well ...nothing flabby there ! But I thought my mid section can do with some toning up and got out an old Abs exercise thing we had for ages. I call it the "torture seat" ...and oh boy, can I feel it ! My stomach muscles even hurt when I laugh or sneeze.

I take it as a good sign that it's working-no pain , no gain,lol.
Then I was getting sweaty in another way, as I told in my post. Candle making. I now have a little collection ready and they will make nice little gifts.Some more of the jar candles still need to be decorated.

And I treated myself to another charm for my leather bracelet....a little silver owl this time.
The owl stands for two things....first we saw an owl at the Eno River Festival, plus it's Reggie's bird.

But journaling.... early in the mornings when I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep I was writing notes while Reggie was sleeping. I got the doc out yesterday and started to do something with them. I will show part of what I'm doing here, but some pages will stay private as they are far too personal. I'm not so much concentrating on a lot of embellishments , for me it's just the writing that counts, it shows my thoughts at the time.These are the first 4 pages and the start of the story book.

I will gradually go trough the notes and carry on making more pages. But for today it's enough. After these night shifts I will upload the next freebie part for you and put the links up , I'm hoping I will get it done over the weekend. So until then again
