Last part and new mini freebie kit

Hello  :)
Just home from work and now sitting here with a nice cuppa , chilling, while writing my blog post. We have been really lucky with the weather the past week. It's cold and windy , but sunny. I just wish the temperatures at night would go up a little more. We had a few nights with a touch of frost, and as long as that threat is there I am holding off to put my baby plants outside. They are currently still growing by the kitchen window. I have tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, various herbs and lettuce to plant.

But the bulbs I planted last year are doing well .

I have been trying something new lately. Working with concrete. No, it's not ordinary concrete. It's a special kind which you can knead like clay. It's also not dangerous to mix and doesn't make a lot of dust when you mix the powder with water. Here are two of the projects I have done so far.

A candle plate with fern imprint.

And for Easter a broken egg candle holder.
This was made by blowing up a balloon , layering the concrete around and then popping the balloon once dry. It's painted with gold inside and chalk paint on the outside.

Looks pretty cool, hey? :)

For April I have something else planned though.
Isabella , from https://www.twome.co.uk/ is doing a macramé challenge .

For 3 days we get emails daily with instructions on how to do this macramé wreath. I already have my supplies and can't wait to start. It's also a competition and the best wreath will win a large spool of macramé yarn.

Apart from that I knitted a few more squares for my blanket and I still have a painting project to complete as well. I will show pics once the painting is ready.

Work didn't leave much time for a lot more..."sigh".So much I want to do but not enough time ;)

The next Mardi Gras parts and building up a stash of new designs

Hello, good evening :)
I'm posting a day early this time. No particular reason,I'm just having the time , no work this weekend and so I decided to write my post tonight already.
And feeling so much better after dealing with a sinus infection and nasty cough the past week.
I had plenty of time for art ...and design. Here are some of the paintings I got done.

 Rainboots and thistles for the #thingswithflowers challenge

and a garden gnome with primroses.

I'm proud of this one , it's the first time I painted a face, and I'm happy how it turned out.

Also a little bit of lettering with my watercolour. This will be framed and go on the wall above my desk :)

I got another kit ready ...

...and even made some jewels for CU use.

I eventually plan to open up a store page here on my blog again , so I'm slowly building up a little stash with a variety of graphics (bought and self painted illustrations)
It's not gonna happen over night , I still need time to make that stash of new things. And don't fear- the freebies will continue.

And....the next parts are here

Hi everybody,
I'm sitting here with my coffee ( nightshift essential) ,yawning and another shift to do later before I'm off for a few. Yaih ! My weekend is near :)
As for the missing files update : I'm about half way through all the zips . Another 2 weeks and I should be done.
It's not a bad thing having to go through it all. It's like a spring cleaning for the external drives. Got to see the positive in everything, huh?
Soooo... you wonder how I can get this much done? Hmmm... a) I don't watch much  TV, nor do I waste time on my phone as so many people these days, who seem to walk around with it attached to their hand ,eyes on the screen - I rather be creative.
b) I have a calendar /journal and I write down every week , sometimes daily what I need to get done (cleaning, shopping etc) and what I want to achieve. Then I cross off what I got done. It doesn't always work , sometimes things have to be moved to the next day, but all in all it's a good way to keep track, be motivated and organised. ---well, it works for me ...and no, I'm not OCD :)
As you probably noticed my blog design had a spring make-over as well. I used watercolor designs by the super talented Mikibith https://www.mikibith.net/ . Check out her site and shops , she has truly beautiful graphics and is an inspiration for me :)

So what have I been up to? I have designed more stuff :) Or rather , I have finally finished kits I started last year,lol. Fall is over, but there will be another later in the year ...and luckily Scrap kits don't have a use by date :)

New Freebie kit start again

Hello :)
I think I have a few more grey hairs ...just when I think one job is done the next one is creeping up on me !
You know I told about sorting those files into folders on my external drive last post? Welllll….. this job turns out larger than expected. I was looking for this "Resource folder" I had for years ...as far back as when I started designing. That damn thing disappeared. First thought : Oh no !!! My resources ...lost ! " But not to worry -I kept all the zip files. I smiled. But that smile soon disappeared. Just picture a 2 TB drive with a large folder labeled "Zip files" … How long have I been designing? Yeah.... more than 10 years.... see what I mean? There is a staggering amount of zips in this folder. It's like searching for a needle in a haystack. I have alone over 5000 font files , no clue how many Poser program files, PSP files, Photoshop files. How hard can it be to find some lost overlays and other resources ? (being sarcastic here)

But to more pleasant things now... I have been creative again.

And I finished this one not long ago - Watercolor Dreamcatcher for another challenge.

Besides all this I did a little spring cleaning and also planted more seeds.

And 3 years with a Fitbit, healthier eating and moving more is paying off. Here is the math : I am 2 1/2 kilos away from my goal weight of 75 kilos. At my heaviest I was 92 kilos.
My weight before I had Shaun ,when I was 23 years old was 73 kilos = if I loose 4 1/2 kilos more I will be the same size as 28 years ago.
I am definitely aiming for that as next goal :)

I should have taken before and after pictures , but as I was not doing a diet, just a life style change, I didn't think of that.

And it's time for a new freebie kit... this used to be a store kit , but now as freebie. Fitting in with the time of the year ...Mardi Gras. But can be used for Dress up parties and all sorts of fun stuff.
