She's back with more parts :)

Hello :)
I'm back from my travels and normal day to day work life has already started again.
Autumn is in full swing , including the rainy , wet weather. We also have a few flood warnings in force due to the heavy rain today.
Weather in Germany was definitely better than in UK. Speaking to my mum a short while ago , they have sunshine , but it's colder than here
And the fall colours in Germany were also more vibrant.

Look at that sky as well...not a cloud to be seen :)
Inspired by sunny autumn walks I decided to start on the Floral Autumn Skillshare class. I only had a small Watercolour sketchbook with me , but it didn't turn out badly.

 And some flowers
I also completed another cowl in autumn colours to go with my brown Teddy coat.
During a visit to a garden centre I saw Tillandsia displays and thought "I can do that myself" ….and I did ! A few tree slices, some branch bits, moss , a few rocks and other bits and bobs , and of course my glue gun.
Well happy how it turned out :)

I have a little extra freebie today .
This is a printable Pattern notes sheet. If you write your own patterns for knitting, crochet etc , or just want to make some notes if you makes any pattern changes , measurements etc , this will come in handy. It's made for letter size paper.

New freebie again next post .And I have a few more vacation pictures to show.
Until then ….stay crafty as always :)

More Love Letters kit

Good morning :)
It's one of my rare weekends off work and I have been busy !
For a start I caught up with knitting squares for my blanket. I think I have roughly 60 done ….only about 80 more to go ..oufff ;)
A lot of work , sweat and cursing going into this , but it will be well worth it in the end :)

Then I managed to get 2 more paintings for #thingswithflowers done.
The guitar . Love how this turned out !
And the swing in a loose style with lavender .
And my "homework" for this week , the letter B leaves -Birch.

For next week it's the Chestnut leaf , Horse chestnut to be specific
http://clipground.com/images/chestnut-leaf-clipart-5.jpg

They are almost ripe here and will fall down soon , and the leaves will start going yellow and brown then.
A Japanese Cherry leaf would be another option for letter C .

I love Autumn and can't wait for all those lovely colors :)
So here is an autumn leaves paint tutorial

OK... time for the kit and links again...

I made another quickpage from this kit

And here the links

http://www.mediafire.com/file/r8cda2c7392171c/sr_loveletters4.zip/file

Question : Would you be interested in more quickpages? I have a lot saved and been thinking about uploading them as freebies as well.
If I sort them in themes and group them into packs of 4 or 5 at the time , they would make nice freebie downloads as well.

Let me know and that's it for today again. Until next week

Freebies for you

Hi all,
I'm off work on my rota break again and thought I would pop in before the next round starts again.

As always being creative, specially with all the rain we're having here. Yes, we had a few days sun ...but always when I'm working. I'm off and boom...it's peeing down with rain again !
Typical my luck,lol.

Well, I bought myself a yogurt maker. Fantastic little thing ! From normal to Greek yogurt (it has a filter for that), yogurt dressing for salads to smoothies (using the left over whey which gets filtered when making Greek yogurt)...this thing is great ! Saving so much money , makes us eat more pro-biotic goodness and tastes so much better than the bought stuff. Not to mention I know what goes in it. That little book with recipes is fab as well ...yummie and healthy.
Still doing my fitbit steps , although the rain makes it hard to keep up to my goals sometimes.

On one of my trips to the Wilko store I saw a 3D butterfly picture on their shelf. It was £ 8.99 . I thought I can do this myself a lot cheaper ! I purchased a deep frame , printed the background and some butterflies, cut them out and fixed them with double sided tape onto the background. And there ya go.... £ 2.99 plus some paper, tape and printer ink. Very happy how it turned out ;)
Anyway.... 2 goodies for you today. A printable and a QP . I got this cute bundle pack with graphics and got creative.
Here is a preview of the QP
And the download link
https://www.mediafire.com/?ak09ruxu087olas

And here the matching printable
Download link
https://www.mediafire.com/?0ayjwxa033j8frd

I'll be printing and framing it myself  to hang on my wall ;)
As always everything is 300dpi , making it great print quality.

I hope to catch a sunny moment tomorrow to make a few pics of my little gardening area. It's growing , but would be a lot better with more sun instead of constant rain.
Oh yes, and I'm dusting off some old store kits and will start posting some as freebies soon .

Till next time

Gardening Learning Curves and printable Summer pic

Hi,lol
It's nightshift recovery time for me...and that also means catching up with those chores like laundry, cleaning...and I finally found time to wash my curtains today and clean the windows. It's a job I hate but the sun made all too visible what really had to be done !

The gardening is definitely a learning curve. After several days of rain my poor plants were nearly drowning , so I had to drill several holes into the pots to let the water drain off. Next pot I plant will have enough holes before I plant anything in it,lol.
My plant babies are currently loving the sunny weather and growing nicely.

It might not seem much to people who have a garden , but for someone on the 3rd floor in a block of flats this little grow bag and patio pot garden is fantastic,lol......Snowy's mini farm ;) ...making the most out of the little space I have .

Also my chilli pepper plants by the window are doing well. This is what I had after picking this morning .
Last week I transformed an old small shelf which used to be in my kitchen. After I bought a new large spice rack I first wanted to throw this away, but now I'm glad I didn't.
After painting and applying the same antiquing paints as I did previously for the other items it turned out to be the perfect shelf for my pencils ;)
And it matches the rest of my self decorated stationary storage.
Anyway, here is a little freebie. A printable "Hello Summer"  because better weather finally seems to have arrived here in UK.
Download link https://www.mediafire.com/?di8838em5ze7pcu

I'm going to have overtime at work coming up, so I'm not sure how much time I will have to be creative , but I'll pop in and share whenever I have something new :)

Till then

Freebie printable time

Hi all again,
It's night shift recovery day . I'm functioning on 3 hours sleep and plenty of coffee, lol.
We had Hurricane Katie here the past 2 days (Sunday and Monday) and it did cause some damage in the area. Uprooted trees, some fallen onto cars , bridges had to be closed, over 80.000 without power , flooding etc. Further north they even had snow. The only problem for me was trying to get some sleep with the wind howling around the buildingand roof tiles rattling. I don't know how often I woke up from the noise but I finally managed to get a few more hours sleep late afternoon when the wind finally calmed down. Now it's "my weekend" and I plan to chill out a bit. Well.... in the moment I'm having a coffee break from sorting out my wardrobe before the new one gets delivered on Thursday.
I'm trying to "downsize" but holy crap !!! .... I managed just fine to get rid of jeans, skirts and other stuff. Just with the tops I seem to struggle, lol. I'm trying to be brutal , but some items from years ago are hard to get rid of, even though I have not worn them a long time. But the thought of "maybe I will wear it again " is still in the back of my head ;) "Just put them into the Charity/recycling bag , Snowy!" ...and then the other thought " You'll regret it " comes up again...ughhhh....I'll get through eventually, lol Maybe this helps ;)

I'm also re-doing the upper hallway. A new coat rack is planned to be ordered next pay day. Now I have to get rid of the old one (still from 1996 ) and paint the wall behind it . It was never moved since we moved into this place in 1998 and still has the original paint behind it. It's definitely "out with the old, in with the new" year. I won't be traveling much this year as the housing association is planning to renew our kitchens and bathrooms this year. They also want to get onto the attic to renew insulation . We've not been given exact dates yet , but been told they would start from April onward. So the money I would normally save for my travels will go to home improvement this year.
Anyway, enough told, lol. Time to show some pictures. I did another picture with the same quote I showed in my last post. I wanted one I could frame and hang in my hallway when it's redone. So I picked a photograph I took in 2014 and wrote the quote onto that. Take off over North Carolina, above the clouds. Love how it turned out. Now I just have to find a nice frame.
The second one to go on my wall I created in Paint Shop Pro with floral watercolor images.
Yup, lol...not very gothic or dark. Told ya I have changed a bit in that regard ;)
You have the choice of 2 versions, one without lettering and one with the faded quote , so you can go over with any color you like and do your own writing.

And I will be going back to sorting out clothing now .... let me be strong ,lol ;)

Finding memories

A good deep spring cleaning can bring many surprises, lol. As I was going through all the corners and one of the sideboards I found a box which had been pushed right into the back. When I pulled it out and opened it I was surprised to see it contained at least 150 discs which I had burned over the years.
I forgot there was a second box ! I found the other last year and went through it , but this one seemed to date back even further... I found some which contained stuff from 2006 .
It will take me a while to work my way through them all , but I have found some with old commercial use stuff on , and a few with pictures ....and have been smiling about the memories. Maybe...just maybe some of the missing kits and other stuff which degraded and wouldn't open on the other discs will be in this box. I know I often burned things twice because I sometimes didn't remember I had already done it....one can hope, lol.
Another matter is my old Vista desktop PC ....I have not started it up for something like 3 years , I think. And this is the problem. Too long and I forgot the password ! That damn PC is password protected ! Who came up with that rubbish idea, lol? How am I supposed to get in there now? I know there is still pictures and a lot of other stuff on there. Google was helpful telling me I need the installation disc to get in there and be able to reset the password. But where is the damn disc ?Ughhh....headache,lol. I finally find old program discs and yes...Vista as well. But there are two Vista discs. Yeah, I used to have a Vista laptop as well, back then. So which one is the laptop version and which the desktop?
I'm on strike ... fuck it, that can wait for another day ,lmao. Yes, I'm laughing. You got to see these kind of things with humor or you go nuts.

So last night I decided to relax with a bit of play time. The lettering class has caused a font mania. Calligraphy, handwriting and other art fonts I copy in handwriting for practice. I love https://thehungryjpeg.com/
They offer a monthly font bundle including lovely watercolor graphics. So I had to have a play after getting the March bundle. Some of the graphics have been in my folders for a couple of months, so last night I finally took the time to do something with them.
I'm my own worst critic! If something doesn't turn out the way I want I will not show it , but I think this didn't go too bad. Considering I have not been designing for a while I'm quite happy with the result so far. What do you think? It's mainly watercolor style in soft spring colors.
Watercolor is definitely a favorite in the moment . I love mixing and blending the colors. Here is a picture I made for the art challenge , theme was "Watercolor rainbow" and the words "Be kind to yourself"
And when you can do digital and by hand, why not combine the two to create something nice? I made the background in digital , printed it and applied the writing by hand. I have actually framed this because I liked it so much .
I'm sharing this printable with you today. I faded the writing , so grab a brush or pen and go over the lines. Go on , give it a try, lol.
Download here https://www.mediafire.com/?aao2t9n5a261pv6

And because I'm in giving mood , here is a printable coloring page I made as well ;)  The writing is faded again, so you can go over with your own pens and pick a color you like.

That's all for now again , I bought a darling of a little drawer cabinet today and still have to screw on the drawer knobs and then find a space for it . Have a great relaxing evening .
