Rebel Yell kit final parts

Hello 😀
I've been off work for 2 weeks on "home staycation" and already back to work a week again. I normally wanted to post last weekend , but with work and nightshifts as well I didn't get time until now.
Especially now that the Christmas season is starting. Yeah , we crafters, painters and designers have to start early to get everything done. Handmade gifts take time to make !
I have only one ready so far, and I also have plans for some handmade Christmas tree decorations....so you can see....I definitely won't get bored :)
I'm looking forward to Christmas this year (despite Corona virus) , because I actually have the holidays off this year. That doesn't happen often , but this year I'm one of the lucky ones.
And with all other plans on hold because of covid 19 I intend to make Christmas extra nice this year !

I noticed a few new blog visitors on here , so I thought it might be time to introduce myself again.
Meet the Maker
I'm Snowy, almost 53 years young and have been designing and blogging for close to 20 years now (I think :) I lost count , it's been so long. 😂
A lot has happened during these years , some happy tales and some sad , but I'm still here. Happily single and independent these days, a hard working girl with lots of hobbies. Being creative is my way of relaxing after work and on my days off.
I used to have my own website for digital scrapbooking , but with increased work hours I just couldn't find the time anymore. But wait until I retire ! I still have lots of plans and goals :)

So what have I been up to since last post?

Well, I finished a Granny style boho cardigan. Which has already gone into storage for next year , because it's getting a bit too cool outside to wear this now. 😏
Digging in my yarn stash I found this lovely chunky wool. For a quick project I made this cable snoot , which will keep my neck warm against the coastal wind here. I have enough yarn left to either make a matching hat or a pair mittens....let's see....
This is made from some leftover yarn. A little make up bag and a protective cover for my tablet.
And because one can never have enough scarves , here is one with cable pockets :)
The light green crochet project has gone in the "complete later" basket. It's a lighter garment more suited for spring or end of summer , so I will get that out next year again. Right now I want to concentrate on winter and Christmas items.
And maybe even a new Christmas Scrap kit as well ....

But for today it's the last 3 parts of Rebel Yell ....

That's all .....now I have to go for a search on my external drive to find another new freebie for next post :)

Stay safe and healthy , all of you! With Corona numbers going up again we might have another lockdown coming if the numbers get too high.

Until next post

New freebie "Rebel Yell"

 Hello again :)

I think I might need another coffee! I came off nightshift at 7am , went to do my grocery shopping before going home, had some breakfast, switched my laptop on and it's now past midday. I have done previews for the new kit and designed a new blog header while virus and clean up program is doing it's scans and upgrades.

And I have a lot to show today. I have been mega busy with autumn themed things and prepping to make my home cosy. I also rescued a Monstera plant from a shop , who totally drowned the poor thing in water and it looked rather sorry for itself. But I got it for half price and it's making a great recovery :)

I love my plants ! They make a home so much cosier , and not only look great , but a lot of them also filter the air.
I love decorating my home with some Fall decorations, preferably self made. In this case I crocheted pumpkins and knitted a small wall hanging.
I like these pumpkins much better than the plastic ones you get in the stores. Mine are soft and squishy, and I think they look so much prettier :)
I have been trying out new yarns lately and this one did not disappoint. Love those colours ! It's from Drops and actually called "Autumn Forest"
The finished shawl goes perfectly with my faux suede jacket.
And this is another yarn I fell in love with. It's Lionbrand's Mandala thick and quick in "Footprints"
It makes the perfect little storage bags in autumn colours. The baskets have a loop at the back , so they can be hung up.
And lastly I dug through my stash of leftovers ...
Granny squares are the perfect way to use them up....
...and t's so easy to pretty up a plain cotton bag .I simply used fabric glue to fix this granny square onto the bag. :)

If you're interested in any patterns I used ,I will post links to the patterns and tutorials on my blog pattern page.

Okay, I do have some more pics , but as I have a ton of previews for the new kit I will leave them for next post.
This is the new freebie kit. Rebel Yell is full of silver and metallic elements which are great for Halloween photos. Why always the traditional colours ? Blue, black and silver looks great as well :)

This kit has 6 parts. I'm giving you half the kit today and the other half next post.

There will be another folder with papers and 2 with elements next post.

Enjoy :)
And I think I will go and brew that coffee now before I head to my Patter page to post the links.

Have a great week and stay creative 💗
