Late start to the day

Ughhh...typing on this mobile is not that nice. Last night I only got to bed at almost 4 am due to the Superbowl.But inbetween I finnished another kit.Will show  as soon as possible

First signs of Spring pics

Hi again,
well, I did go for a walk om Imbolc and yesterday late afternoon and took some pictures...... sorry Edna, I know you are stuck in lots of snow over there , not trying to rub it in ...so maybe you enjoy to see some green instead of white.
This is at the top of our road. The trees look as if they have leaves on, but it's actually Ivy climbing up and all over the trunk and branches.

But there is already some growth on the ground.

And in between , where the sunlight can reach are these little ones poking their heads out of the ground....

As the sun was going down and the closer I got to the seawall and the beach , the colder it got. The wind up there is damn chilly !!! But not to worry-I really have to be grateful to Erik for the hoodie he gave me as a gift.,it kept me warm and cozy in the wind up there.

 I'm really being blown through there !

And  then it already started to get darker and fog started to come up. Walking past the Lighthouse ad the light for the ships is on. Not exactly a true beauty , our lighthouse - maybe you can understand why I have fallen in love with the one in Scituate now. We can't just sit by the Lighthouse here , it's on top of a hill and surrounded by walls, where as at Scituate we were just sitting on the rocks  in the sun after climbing  over the rocks and walking over them out towards the ocean.And you're not even allowed to do that here,lol- all in the name of health and safety.

I finished off the March Store kit and free part, all that's left to do now is to make detailed previews and upload the lot.
I was busy with some Song Lyrics artwork last night as well. Rhianna brought out a new song and Jaedyn and myself had a good laugh and shocked quite some people yesterday. I found the song on YouTube and put the main lyrics up as my status, Jaedyn saw it, listened to it and commented "no truer words said (or sung)"and put it up as her status as well,lol. Oh dear - we had a good giggle. It's so funny to shock people from time to time ! That's where the wicked Witch and Rebel comes out in us.

Spring is slowly coming....

...at least that's what it seemed like on Imbolc. We had some sunshine here and the temperature wasn't to bad either. We had a a nice mellow day here. I spent time meditating, did my ritual , made some layouts and even got the February kit into my Store. Let's start with the kit , the layouts were all made with this as well. The colours were chosen by Miriam, and you will get some free parts each week in the Magickal forum. But as always I create the matching Store kit to my own part.

A Valentines kit with different style, mine turned out rather Gothic again,lol.

The free part will be available later this month. But here are the layouts I made with the kit. Nothing is as nice and atmospheric as candle light -so I took some pictures of my altar again. This is my  Imbolc

In case you wonder about that blue little figure there-it's a poppet. You fill it with the hair or other items of the person you want the spell to work for. In this case the colour of the poppet is blue for healing and it's a healing spell. The Imbolc colours are red, white and green and are reflected in the colours of the candles.

On Imbolc we honour the Goddess Brigid- she is the Patron Goddess of the Arts, Poets and also Healers. All things I can relate to.

But as it's supposed to be a Valentines kit I had to make at least one layout to reflect that. Suits me-I couldn't picture myself surrounded by pink design.

And I have lost more weight ! Stopping snacking in between has quite an impact. -well guess what? Since November and coming back from my USA trip I have lost more,I'm down yet another dress size. The skinny jeans which I so proudly got out last year , which did not fit me for years is now that loose that I can pull them down without opening the button or zip. It's amazing how changing your life style just a little bit can have so much impact.
Yup, I'm really happy about this ! I'm all round fitter and healthier than I used to be. I think a lot of my eating habits were caused by frustration while I was still married. Comfort eating. Take the frustration away and I was able to change my habits over time. Without going on a strict diet ! I still eat what I want -just in smaller quantities, specially when it comes to the sweet stuff and chocolate.Anyway, I have rambled enough for now. More tomorrow ,lol .Hugs Snowy

Blessed Imbolc everybody !

Well , today is the Day !Imbolc, the first of the Spring Sabbaths this year. I know a lot of you won't see anything of Spring yet, depending where you live in the world , but here we actually had some milder days already.I know that Ricky is stuck in 5 feet snow drifts, Tina had a an Ice Storm in Indiana, Crystal had blizzard warnings where she lives and couldn't go out.
For us here it's a mellow day, I guess we can be grateful for the mild weather here , even though I would really have liked some more snow. - I'm cooking us a nice Imbolc dinner and plus a sweet treat for afters for today.

So hopefully the days will be getting longer soon again and the warmer weather returns and the sun will come out more.
I know a lot of people get affected by the grey and cold weather.Those with Arthritis or Rheumatism suffer, and I think all of us have days where we feel depressed due to lack of light and warmth. Personally , I try to get out as much as possible. It has always served me well , I rarely get ill and the light and fresh air always give me a boost, even if it's raining. Another way for me is to let out my " wild side" - which is more than one method to get into a good mood again,depending on the circumstances. The usual thing is to turn my stereo up loud , sing and dance along while doing my work. Music is important for me and has a big influence on my moods. The upbeat stuff , club music and the usual chart songs , get me going with energy, if I want to wind down I put on some classical, Enya or other spiritual/meditation music.
And... oh mama, this is just hot ! We had an unusual Breakfast show on Tv over here last week -Gino , the cook promised to cook naked if the show won an award - well they did !And he kept his promise - this is just hilarious ... but yummie .... please ...I want a naked chef as well . I promise to keep the burns cream handy and rub it in all the right places as well ,lol.

In design I have almost finished the kit for March , some more elements and it's done.But no rush, I have lots of time! Next thing is to make a slideshow of the February parts -let's see if I have all the previews in the Photobucket folder. We are all so busy that those little things often get forgotten.
It's not even 9.00 am , but it's promising to be a nice day .The sun has just come up over the rooftops of the houses opposite ours. I think I will get ready and go for a walk around midday time when it's the warmest time of day. Blessed Imbolc to you all and stay safe if you're having some nasty weather where you are -Hugs Snowy

Almost Imbolc

Good morning , only one more day and tomorrow is Imbolc. And for that day I created the kit "Natural Flair" which is in Store now.

Here a  layout I made with it...

And of cause there is a sampler again in my blog store.

Last night my kitchen curtain pole came crashing down. Above the window used to be a wooden bar , into which the curtain pole was drilled and screwed into. Yeah-the screws were holding !We just discovered that the wooden bars, done when this house was renovated  in 1997 were just glued on though. So after living here many years last night that glue wasn't good enough any more , and the bar-still with my curtain  and curtain pole on came crashing down- wonderful ! Quality workmanship using glue instead of screws ! Excuse me being sarcastic , but this was supposed to be a professional  firm who did the renovations - do you call glue professional??? Ah well, guess I have to get out my drill and attach the thing again - but the proper way this time !
Last working day today  and then I'm off-whoohooooo ! Looking forward not having to set my alarm,lol. And I hope the weather will be a liitle nice for me as well.And now I'm off again  after David Gutta . That man is a musical genius,lol -Revolver

Quick post before work

Hi all,
thought I post quickly here before heading into town and work after that. Football was quite entertaining last night. I had my fingers crossed for the NFC and they won in the end. Beginning of the game until the first half they were well in front and despite AFC trying to catch up in the second half they didn't quite make it,lol.
I want to point out another book to you which I will order and read myself. It's written by Michael , who is on my Facebook Friends list and also gave me messages from Spirit in a call. No - it didn't cost me anything , it was a free call- he phoned me ! and he also does conference calls (free) for those who want to learn more about healing and Spirit renewal. He has written his first book about his experiences and teaches how you can learn and achieve it for yourself.
Michael now practices his disciplines in a remote healing format with clients from around the world. He also leads workshops and seminars in Europe and North America.

I can only say that my messages were spot on ! He relayed messages from one of my Spirit guides and it was just amazing.I could actually feel the energy through the phone when I talked with him. The book is available on

I worked on a few quote layouts this morning for my ever growing collection. Here is one of them. I used a photo from my altar as background for it. Simple , yet effective,lol.

Mellow Sunday

Hi again
I'm writing quite late today. Came home from work, did my usual housework, ironed the laundry and then went for a nap.I'm fit for watching the Pro Bowl which starts at midnight over here.
20 minutes to go,lol.
My herb seeds which I planted 5 days ago are doing well and have started to pop out of the earth.

 I finished another book - yes, I sometimes read more than one at the same time as well, exactly the same as with working on my kits -if I get stuck on one ,I carry on with the other. This one I can really recommend ! It's a journey of self discovery- full of twists and turns. You gain a new and deeper understanding of yourself, it helps to assert your own individuality and self realisation.It also makes you more aware of how to use and maximise you unique gifts and talents, and also makes you aware how we sometimes block our own progress. Well worth a read , you go through the pages and think "yeah- I can really relate to that" and "Why haven't I thought of that before?"

In design I have started to work on the March kit - I have prepared a quickpage as a little teaser.

And I'm currently busy searching the big www. for a site where I can get candle making and dreamcatcher supplies in larger quantities for a good price. I plan to make and offer different varieties and sizes. The spell candles will be dipped and smaller , the Chakra Candles in a larger size, made in moulds, and I also plan on making nice smelling tea lights. This is really only in the planning stages so far, I have a lot of  different items to purchase to get started. For example I will need two different kinds of wax - dipping wax , and Paraffin wax. Add to that the dye to create the different colours,moulds, the wicks etc.... luckily I already have plenty of essential oils to make my own aroma mixes for the candles. And I don't want to go for one of the ready mixed packages which are so often on sale-this will be made from scratch to add my very own signature to it.
Some fantastic news for me. I found out I have 11 days of leave left to take before the end of March. So I'm taking 6 days in Feb and 5 in March. Only two more shifts , then I am off for 10 days ! 6 leave plus 4 which I'm on rota break anyway - so that's fantastic! Specially as it falls on the 2nd of Feb as well , which is a Sabbath -it's Imbolc.
Anyway - enough for now. I'll make myself a nice cup of tea now and get comfortable to watch the football.

No designing done today- I got stuck in a book and when I finally looked up it was already too late to start anything .
In the moment I am reading a lot of stuff from Doreen Virtue - and  listen to her audio as well.

This is also an excellent book- one of my favourite authors Christopher Penczak

So there's me comfy on my bed and I completely forget the time. It's so cozy up under the roof when I have my candles on as well.

But at least I got the colours and logo for March done before I got so distracted. Anyway, another early shift , so I will go to sleep now.

Back to work again

This was my last day off, so tomorrow morning it's a case of getting up early again - that's why I already post this tonight. Saves me some time in the morning. My Imbolc Spring cleaning is done and I even changed my bedroom around.I was reading up on Feng Shui and thought I give t a try. For my sign I 'm supposed to sleep with my head in the West or at least North -West. As I had the mattress off anyway , because I was cleaning under the bed as well it was easy to make the change and move some furniture around. And you won't believe the amount of dust which collects behind ! Plus I fixed a chest of drawers. The drawers always got stuck since it was build together several years ago. I dismantled the whole thing and build it together with new screws -and it works without any problems now. Who needs a man for such things? Not me ,lol. Same as the remote controlled Tower Fan which was declared broken - hah ! I fixed it as well !

This is my cozy corner now where I read and sleep. Of cause , the Dreamcatchers above my bed !

Now I only need to decorate my altar tomorrow for Imbolc. Everything is nice and clean , and I smudged every room with sage. It was a lot of work the past days, but definitely worth it.
So I only have one layout to show this time. A little bit of Pagan humour,lol.

Now I will go and see what Nikki ,Matt, Ricky and the others in the Wiccan Connection have been up to , and then to bed early - but first some music again. Rhianna and David Guetta - Who's that chick ( one of the songs which makes all the cleaning jobs a bit more fun) I just wanna dance,lol -Hugs Snowy

Hey hey ...new kit in Store ....

Hi ahain , sitting here having a break and singing along to David Guetta with my stereo turned up. I've been busy with my Imbolc/Spring cleaning practically all day. But late afternoon I found myself putting a bottle of bleach instead of the milk back into the fridge-sure sign I could do with a break. Yeah , yeah...people have already been making comments and teasing me about this.I had comments from Matt, Myriam, Connie and Linda so far. At least I didn't put the bleach into my coffee.
And I'm jealous ! Matt and Nikki posted pictures of the snow in Fall River/MA , where they live- so nice ! It's been bloody freezing cold wind here today, and we even had a few small snowflakes coming down, I was hoping , but after 5 minutes it stopped. Julie said it was a Snow day also in Plymouth, and Scott who lives in Sanford /Maine complained about his little car not liking the weather.Looking on Edna's blog and I see more snow - please, I want some as well,lol.
I have my new kit Midnight Fantasies in Store now - plus free sampler as well.

And last I have a layout which I made for the little "Rink Rat" Lizzie with my Hockey Mad kit -here she is cheering her big brother Kevin on.

That's it again for now, I will carry on a while longer here, will have to smudge as well ,and then chat  with my friends over at the Wiccan Connection before I will fall into my bed.
