New Freebie time again

 Hello everybody :)

It's Sunday and posting time again ! And this time I'm posting with my brand new laptop. It's such a pleasure to work on this.  It's so fast ,unlike my old nearly 8 year old laptop which does everything in snail speed now:)

I haven't got everything installed yet but I'm getting there slowly. and I'm hoping that my old Poser 3D program will work on this baby as well.

It's been a few weeks of the " new" for me ,with getting a new phone as well. I went for the Google Pixel because everybody told me that the camera is absolutely fantastic. Well, they didn't exaggerate. The clarity of the pictures is really fantastic. Better than my little Nikon camera. So there is definitely no need for that one anymore :)

So.....what have I been up to apart from Christmas shopping and working?

I crocheted a little Christmas stocking. love how cute it turned out with the bobbles :)
I fell in love with Alpaca yarn and knitted this simple shawl. It's so warm and cosy .💓
I also made my yearly batch of soaps .They make great little gifts and we also use these all year round.
This year I made one batch of Lavender and Tea Tree oil, and another batch of Lemon and Tea Tree . They smell divine !
I started on some winter/Christmas decorations. This is my Eucalyptus Red Berry Winter Wreath.
And this is a currant project. A stripy jumper, which will be warm and cosy when the cold weather comes.

But that's enough for now. Let's get to the new freebie.
With Christmas approaching I thought an Angel kit would be the perfect kit to give you next. Here some previews...

And here the first links:

Have fun with it and stay creative :)
And healthy !
And thank you for your comments ,they are always very much appreciated.
Until next post with more parts of this kit 💓

Rebel Yell kit final parts

Hello 😀
I've been off work for 2 weeks on "home staycation" and already back to work a week again. I normally wanted to post last weekend , but with work and nightshifts as well I didn't get time until now.
Especially now that the Christmas season is starting. Yeah , we crafters, painters and designers have to start early to get everything done. Handmade gifts take time to make !
I have only one ready so far, and I also have plans for some handmade Christmas tree decorations....so you can see....I definitely won't get bored :)
I'm looking forward to Christmas this year (despite Corona virus) , because I actually have the holidays off this year. That doesn't happen often , but this year I'm one of the lucky ones.
And with all other plans on hold because of covid 19 I intend to make Christmas extra nice this year !

I noticed a few new blog visitors on here , so I thought it might be time to introduce myself again.
Meet the Maker
I'm Snowy, almost 53 years young and have been designing and blogging for close to 20 years now (I think :) I lost count , it's been so long. 😂
A lot has happened during these years , some happy tales and some sad , but I'm still here. Happily single and independent these days, a hard working girl with lots of hobbies. Being creative is my way of relaxing after work and on my days off.
I used to have my own website for digital scrapbooking , but with increased work hours I just couldn't find the time anymore. But wait until I retire ! I still have lots of plans and goals :)

So what have I been up to since last post?

Well, I finished a Granny style boho cardigan. Which has already gone into storage for next year , because it's getting a bit too cool outside to wear this now. 😏
Digging in my yarn stash I found this lovely chunky wool. For a quick project I made this cable snoot , which will keep my neck warm against the coastal wind here. I have enough yarn left to either make a matching hat or a pair mittens....let's see....
This is made from some leftover yarn. A little make up bag and a protective cover for my tablet.
And because one can never have enough scarves , here is one with cable pockets :)
The light green crochet project has gone in the "complete later" basket. It's a lighter garment more suited for spring or end of summer , so I will get that out next year again. Right now I want to concentrate on winter and Christmas items.
And maybe even a new Christmas Scrap kit as well ....

But for today it's the last 3 parts of Rebel Yell ....

That's all .....now I have to go for a search on my external drive to find another new freebie for next post :)

Stay safe and healthy , all of you! With Corona numbers going up again we might have another lockdown coming if the numbers get too high.

Until next post

New freebie "Rebel Yell"

 Hello again :)

I think I might need another coffee! I came off nightshift at 7am , went to do my grocery shopping before going home, had some breakfast, switched my laptop on and it's now past midday. I have done previews for the new kit and designed a new blog header while virus and clean up program is doing it's scans and upgrades.

And I have a lot to show today. I have been mega busy with autumn themed things and prepping to make my home cosy. I also rescued a Monstera plant from a shop , who totally drowned the poor thing in water and it looked rather sorry for itself. But I got it for half price and it's making a great recovery :)

I love my plants ! They make a home so much cosier , and not only look great , but a lot of them also filter the air.
I love decorating my home with some Fall decorations, preferably self made. In this case I crocheted pumpkins and knitted a small wall hanging.
I like these pumpkins much better than the plastic ones you get in the stores. Mine are soft and squishy, and I think they look so much prettier :)
I have been trying out new yarns lately and this one did not disappoint. Love those colours ! It's from Drops and actually called "Autumn Forest"
The finished shawl goes perfectly with my faux suede jacket.
And this is another yarn I fell in love with. It's Lionbrand's Mandala thick and quick in "Footprints"
It makes the perfect little storage bags in autumn colours. The baskets have a loop at the back , so they can be hung up.
And lastly I dug through my stash of leftovers ...
Granny squares are the perfect way to use them up....
...and t's so easy to pretty up a plain cotton bag .I simply used fabric glue to fix this granny square onto the bag. :)

If you're interested in any patterns I used ,I will post links to the patterns and tutorials on my blog pattern page.

Okay, I do have some more pics , but as I have a ton of previews for the new kit I will leave them for next post.
This is the new freebie kit. Rebel Yell is full of silver and metallic elements which are great for Halloween photos. Why always the traditional colours ? Blue, black and silver looks great as well :)

This kit has 6 parts. I'm giving you half the kit today and the other half next post.

There will be another folder with papers and 2 with elements next post.

Enjoy :)
And I think I will go and brew that coffee now before I head to my Patter page to post the links.

Have a great week and stay creative 💗

Creative updates and the next " Summer Meadow" parts

 Good afternoon :)

I hope you're all having a nice Sunday.

I am in full creative mode myself .Having a rare Sunday off work is the perfect time and opportunity for me to get busy on those projects. And yes, I have been creative the past weeks and got a lot to show. See? This is why posting every 3 weeks is better for me at this time. I actually have plenty I can show and write instead of wondering what I can post about :)

The weather here at the east coast of England is damp and humid after the last 2 days with some rain. I'm loving it and nature definitely as well. On my way home from work after nightshift I noticed that the Horse Chestnut trees are starting to change colour and already loosing the first leaves. Autumn doesn't seem to be that far away seeing that. (Oh dear, Blogger has changed ....now to figure out how to do all those pics.)

I have been mega busy crocheting. I made a full set of coasters and placemats, and even a plant pot cosy from the leftover yarn.

Learning a few new crochet stitches was really fun by making this crochet sampler wall hanging.

And I can finally show the finished Bobble Boho Cardigan !!! This is going to be warm and cosy when the weather gets cooler.

I'm also trying something new today. I'm giving Tunisian crochet a go. First impression : it's like a mix of crochet and knitting , but the texture of the basic stitch is unique. And that yarn ball is too big for my little basket I normally use :)

I'm not even sure what I'm making from this yet. This is just practice , but I'll probably think of something as I go along.

My main currant project is the Dusk Cape (free pattern by Stephanie/All about Ami) https://www.allaboutami.com/pattern-dusk-cape/

Dusk Cape Crochet Pattern

I'm using different yarn in "green tea" colour

And finally to subject design and scrapbooking..... I started a new kit. Shall I show you a little screenshot preview?

Here you go :)

Still a lot to do, but I love what I have so far.

And lastly now the download links for the freebie kit "Summer Meadow"

That's all the parts for this freebie , but there'll be a new one again for my next blog post.
Until then , stay creative

New freebie Summer Meadow

Hello again :)
Glad to be back on here to give you a new freebie !
I'm finally off work for bit and that means I have time to catch up with things I had to neglect for a while.
I don't want to complain because health wise I'm really lucky, but getting older definitely means having to slow down and not having as much energy as I used to have :)
I'm really jealous sometimes of those who got to stay home on 80% pay for two or three months. Yeah, I'm glad I have a secure job , but I gladly would have swapped the "essential worker" status for a little less money and a bit of free time. But I'm on leave now. Time to relax and chill , and just do what I want to do :)

So what have I been up to since last post?
For a start I purchased some brand-new design  resources. Once the weather turns bad again in autumn /winter time I will have plenty of stuff to create some new kits. I'm saying autumn /winter because I don't spend much time on the computer during the nice weather months.
But I have been busy crocheting and knitting, which can easily be packed in a bag and taken to the beach or a shady park bench, to spend time outside ,now that we are allowed to do that again.
So "bag" is the keyword. I have taken part in Stephanie's crochet-along (CAL) of the Camellia Tote bag.
Free pattern here or purchase as pdf : https://www.allaboutami.com/pattern-camellia-tote-bag/

There is also a Facebook group for this CAL ,where we share pictures and help each other if somebody has a problem .

This is my progress
First the oval base of the bag
The first two of 4 side panels
...and finally the finished bag. I love how this turned out and even have plans to make a second one in a different colour.
Then I also worked on another crochet tartan scarf. The crochet is done first and then the tartan gets woven in.
Link to free pattern is on the Pattern page now.
This will be very cosy when the colder weather comes again :)
My current project is a Fringe cardigan. It gets knitted with two strands of yarn on very large needles. This really shows off the texture of any simple pattern.

And I have been out and about....
...cycling along our coast here.

Pretty picturesque, huh?

But enough of that now. I have a new kit for you. It's called Summer Meadow.
And here come the previews....

I'm giving you 3 links today and the next 3 links will be next post

Enjoy ! And if you make any layouts or quickpages shoot me a link. I like to see what you do with my designs :)

That's all for now.... more things to do :)
So stay creative and until next post in 3 weeks time
