More Quickpage freebies

 Hi again :) 

I'm back with another quickpage bundle for you. 

The forced break is helping a lot. My arm and wrist feel a lot better already. Still not 100% as I don't have the strength in my hand back, but the pain is gone and I can move my wrist and arm without problem. 

I'm still going to be careful and resting it as much as possible , but I have begun to do some light exercises of stretching and moving . I think in about a week I will start with some light dumbbells to get my strength back .

In the meantime I have been busy with other things that go easy on my arm.

Planting some seeds . I even invested in a grow light and heat mat to get better results. Time will tell whether it works  or not.

It's time for some Valentine Memories and a Sampler freebie

 Good morning :) 

Pssst..... it's quiet here. Everybody else in the house is still asleep , so I thought it would be the perfect time to sit at my desk and write this post. 

I don't have any crafty bits to show today. Remember , I told you in my last post I frogged a previously started crochet project and started anew? Yeah well, that didn't go so well. The repetitive movement of my arm while crocheting caused my hand and arm some strain , and as a result it hurts when I move it and I have barely any strength in it . Certain movements ,like gripping items and straightening it are slightly painful. 

So it's a forced crochet and knitting break for me , until this is healed up. I had this before , back when I was about 23 years old , working in a factory back then , and the repetitive movements caused the same. But not to worry, a little break and I'll be as good as new. No designing either because even gripping and moving the mouse is uncomfortable. 

In the meantime I'm reading . I can hold the Kindle e-reader with my left hand 😁  

Luckily I already had my new Valentines kit completed, including a freebie sampler. This is kind of special for me this year . It's the 10th anniversary. It was 10 years ago on Valentines Day when Reggie and I decided to be together and give a relationship a go. After a Valentines e-card and him sending me a song he had composed and played himself , there was no way I could say no to him. It was the most thoughtful and romantic thing anybody had ever done for me. So, happy heavenly Anniversary , Reggie . RIP , my love 💕

😄He never smiled for pictures .He could be laughing like crazy one minute, but as soon as the camera came out , the smile was gone.

First freebie of 2022

 ...and a late "Happy New Year " to you all. 

Hello :) 

we are 16 days into the year and I have already completed my first goal and project . I gave my bathroom a makeover. 

Love how it turned out ! 💓

I chose moonlight white for the bath and shower area . because we don't have a window in this room and needs brightening up. 

The 23 year old tiles are still good , but I filled in new grout .The old one had gaps and wasn't a white colour anymore. It makes all the difference and looks sparkly white , bright and new now. 

The floor got a new look with simple pvc planks. Inexpensive , but does the job :) 

I like feature walls to break up a simple monotone look. For this I chose a textured brick wall wallpaper. 

It goes perfectly with the white and bamboo furniture and shelves I already had. 

Decorating on a budget- The lot (floor, paint, grout and wallpaper) cost me just under £ 70.00/$ 95.00 .

Plus a lot of sweeat and aching bones the next days. This DIY stuff was a lot easier when I was younger 😅

Goal number 2 of 2022 is also done. My 13 year old bicycle was in urgent need of some maintenance. Now, with a new chain , new disc , brake and gear overhaul it's a smoother ride again. Maybe I can get another 13 years of riding out of it . 

As for the art and crafty stuff, there wasn't much time for that, but I got out a crochet jumper project I started a year ago and noticed it was far too large for me . So I frogged it all and started anew. 

Plus I finished my first spring scrap kit.

I had just enough for a quickpage from this one as well. Obviously without the "Snowraven logo" on it. This is just for the previews . 

So, now that I have updated you about my activities ,it's time for the freebie.

Christmas Freebie kit is starting and Mini Kit release

 Hello again, 

I'm back already :) If you have not noticed yet, I have been posting almost weekly with new kit releases and there are freebie samplers up for grabs as well. So if you missed the last posts scroll to the earlier posts to download the samplers. 

I've been working on a few smaller kits and the first one is out in the store today. It's my absolute favourite of the new Christmas designs so far. It's called "White Christmas" and yes, it's mostly in  light off white shades. 

What the hell happened to the darker gothic style I used to favour back in the past ? 😀

I got older ,I guess. And my taste changed. I still don't give a damn about what is trendy or not , but I definitely prefer lighter shades now. 

That doesn't mean that I will never design gothic style again, but lighter colours are more flattering as we age.

New kit, Let's hygge Sampler and Christmas/Yule crafts

 Hello :) 

I'm finally back with some updates of what I've been up to lately. Of course it has to be Yule /Christmas crafts. 

I already have my tree up since the 28th of November, the first Advent. It's a tradition I grew up with.We have an Advent wreath with 4 candles and on each of the four Sundays before Christmas another candle is lit. There's also a children's rhyme for that. It goes " Advent ,Advent, ein Lichtlein brennt, erst 1, dann 2 , dann 3 , dann 4, dann steht das Christkind vor der Tuer. Loosely translated that means : Advent, Advent , a candle is burning, first 1 , then 2, then 3 , then 4 , and then Santa is at the door. 

Candles are the "hygge factor" for me at this time of year. They make the room cosy. 

As the past years , I'm aiming for a plastic free Christmas again. So during the evenings I was busy stringing up lots of wooden beads. 

They look great as garlands in my little tree . 

I have a Gnome theme this year 😁

Even my tree topper is a Gnome :)

I made a Macrame wall hanging with pinecones which I collected out and about during my walks. 

A heart shaped Macrame door wreath .
