Second part of the Seaside Mini Freebie

Hello and good evening,

I thought I quickly pop in and post the second Seaside freebie while I'm sat at my desk anyway. And I have a few things to show as well.

Autumn is in full swing here and I got right into the cosy mood as well.

I put up some autumn decorations. Not too much, just a little to make it look nice.
And there is nothing cosier than some candlelight in the evenings.
Of course, some art and craft for this time of year has to happen as well.
One take a plain and bare cane heart , some macrame string, beads, some autumn themed artificial foliage (or real works as well, of course), make up a little handwritten sign and put the lot together.
Looks pretty for a super-fast project :)
This took a little longer, as cross stitch does. It now hangs next my flat door and I really like how it turned out.

I have to admit I have put myself on to a Hobbycraft ban! While sorting out my craft room I have come to realise that I don't just have a craft room, but a small craft warehouse.
Sooooo..... no more ordering more goodies until a good quantity of all this stuff is used up.

I have been so occupied with all this decorating and moving, that I haven't found much time to indulge in my hobbies as much as I would like to. But now, that I have finished, plus there is no more garden work to do, I want to get back spending more time with my art and crafts. My paint and paintbrushes are dry, the white paper screams at me "fill me and colour me" , I have several started knit /crochet projects on the shelf, which need to be completed and it's not that long until Christmas. I have found some lovely decorations to make....
I will share some of the ideas and links to instructions over the coming weeks. Most is crochet, some is macrame. So, if you like what I will make, join in and have some fun Christmas crafting :)

But now it's freebie time. The last of the summer themed mini freebies.
Here is your download link

Enjoy :)

This is part of what's coming.
We're going on an autumn walk.

So, until next post ....
Stay healthy and crafty

It's been a while....but here's another freebie

Ouff ! Hi everybody. Today is the first day since my last post that I actually find the time to switch on my laptop.

Yeah, that's right .I have not been on any computer at all since then. So that means when I count it's been 49 days.

It's been intensely busy here. First my son and Beth moving out, then in between working as usual I started to renovate and decorate the spare room and transformed it into my new bedroom.

This is what my Livingroom looked like while the guys were moving .Chaos everywhere :)

Once they were settled into their new home it was my time to start the room transformations. Yes , I did 3 rooms.
I wallpapered, painted and laid the carpet myself ,on my own,  which I am pretty proud of.
Last Sunday I came home at 7 am from my last nightshift and started on the next room straight away.
My old bedroom was to be transformed into an art and craft room /office and all the furniture from downstairs then had to come upstairs. Half the time I could feel muscles I didn't even know I had. It was damn hard work !
This is the old craft corner downstairs , and room number 3 to be transformed. This is before ....
....and this is after. The old craft corner is now a dining area .
Cosy , huh? This is the one room totally finished and tidy.
Upstairs is another matter. While the furniture are all up, there are still boxes to be unpacked, some wall shelves to be put up and a good clean up is needed after I had guys around to do new loft installation yesterday. I also had the heater fixed and my window is to fixed towards end of September as it has condensation in between the double glazing.
Getting it all done before winter comes and it gets cold !

So yeah, not quite finished yet, but close to it.
And that's why I am now enjoying some time on my laptop and posting this and the new freebie.
I declared a DIY strike for today. I needed a break. Tomorrow is another day and I will carry on then.

So for now...it's freebie time.
Today, in this series of mini kits , we are going to the seaside.

Here is your link

There will be a second part to the seaside visit. And then , going with the time of the year we'll have some autumn themed parts.

But enjoy this one first and I will be back soon with more and by that stage all the chaos in here will be dealt with and I can go back to "normal" .

That's all for now, I'm off .
Till next time

Mini Freebie No.3

 Hi everybody,

Today I'm writing in between boxes and chaos 😁 I have started gathering supplies for my 2 rooms make over in September. Why so early? I'm making the most of the sales and that means the boxes, paint buckets, floor panels, carpet etc will have to be waiting until Shaun and Beth have fully moved out. But it's so worth it! I have managed to get quite a few things on my list for half price and I admit to being the ultimate bargain hunter.

I love nice decor, but I stay away from cheap plastic stuff and go for natural materials. And these are not always the cheapest. Even recycled materials often cost more and if I can save money, the better it is for my bank account.

That's like the recycled macrame yarn I used for the 3day Macrame challenge, I took part in. So worth it. And I had so much fun making it.

Very pleased how it turned out.

Seriously, if you never tried macrame, give it a go! It's so relaxing and you get something really nice out of it. Pinterest and YouTube have tons of how-to tutorials.

I also finally finished my cross-stitch project. It took me long enough, but ....yet again....so worth it. It will look lovely on my wall.
The frame is a little too short and the wood hides a tiny bit of the design at the bottom, but it will do for now.
I've already started on the next one 😏
My plants have been thriving in the little heatwave we had here. Personally, I'm glad we are now back to more normal temperatures. I really don't deal well with heat.
Yellow Tomatoes
Cucumber
Courgettes

But now to the freebie.
Today we visit a Farm.

I have said it before, all these small parts fit together and will make one huge kit in the end.

Here is the link for "Farm fresh "

Ther might just be more Farm stuff coming .....

.....but next time we will leave the countryside and take a little trip to the seaside.
We'll return for another countryside visit later on though. So there will definitely more coming.

But for now, my book is calling my name, so I will chill with a drink and a snack on the sofa. Until next time...

Second mini freebie "Countryside trip"

 Good morning :)

It's another sunny day and my last day off work, so the perfect time to post another freebie and tell you what I've been up to since last post.

I've been plotting and planning!

Shaun and Beth will be moving out and into their first own home in September. With the kids then gone I will have a spare room. So I've been making plans and browsing the net for room transformation :)

Others get "empty nest syndrome" but I get "planning and preparation DIY syndrome ". I currently have my bedroom in the smaller one, so after wallpapering, painting and laying a new carpet I will move my bedroom across into the larger one.

Then the small bedroom will be transformed into my home office/ craft room. Obviously after painting and laying new flooring as well.

That then leaves the current craft corner in my living room, which is meant to be a dining area, empty. Which means I can convert it back into that.

So I already picked out a dining table, bedroom carpet, vinyl flooring for the craft room, wallpaper and paint. I've gone for a light natural look with neutral colours. Of course, I will show pictures of the transformations once I start. I'm so looking forward to this!!! It will be a lot of work, but worth it in the end.

I have spent a lot of time caring for my plant babies this gardening season. And it's worth it.

These are yellow cherry tomatoes. The plant is that full of them that it nearly tips over.
The other tomatoe plants are nearly as tall as I am and carry lots of fruit as well. A few more sunny days and I will be able to pick the first ones.
And even my cucumber plants are doing well in pots.
The first two are nearly ready to pick, and there are lots of flowers for more.
It's the satisfaction of seeing them thrive and grow, and then being able to say "I grew them myself" when making a salad with all of these homegrown goodies 💓
The cross-stitch project is slowly coming together as well. The lettering is all done, now I have to do the surrounding vines. Only a few more thousand crosses to go 😁

But now to the freebie .....
After the Meadow we're now in the Countryside.
And of course, you can mix and match everything.
Here's a layout I made with it.

There'll be more to come, but here is the link for this little part.

That's all for now again and until next time ...

Min kit Freebie "Spring Meadow"

 Hello again 😄

It's been a while since my last post but I'm back with a little freebie for you.

I have hardly been on the Internet the last few months. I even deleted Facebook and Instagram from my tablet. My laptop was gathering dust and needed a good clean. But it's been great and I will definitely carry on with this.

I am less tired , have more energy and enjoying having more time to relax without the pressure or feeling the need to post.

I've been enjoying time in the sun and enjoying the flowers ...

And even made a layout with one of the pictures I took.
The stitching is going slow as well in the moment. I spent more time with a series of books than working on this.

And I can't be trusted at our B&M shop , especially when there's a Sale going on. 😁

I have experimented with bright colours, I had the dark Goth time and a phase of the shabby chic style, but now I think I finally found my style and my colours.
A bit of boho ....
...a bit of natural ...
..a bit of industrial...
.and a bit of "crazy plant Lady" 😂

I get these tiny mini plants or cuttings , only they don't stay small for long . Maybe I should stick with a cactus ?....they grow a lot slower !

Anyway, my garden plants are growing as well. And I have a few more to plant outside tomorrow. I'll take some pics for my next post.

But flowers also were the inspiration for the new freebie.
It really is a Mini kit , but I plan to do a few more of these small kits and want to make them to mix and match . So in the end you'll still have a collection of minis you can combine into a larger kit.

And I'll post some more quickpages as well.

Here is Spring Meadow

Enjoy .... and I'm off now . I have a good book to read and my bed is calling me to get comfy . I will be back with more , but you know....no pressure . Whenever the mood strikes me 😊 the inspiration hits me and I have the time .
Until then

Spring QP bundle no.2 and updates

 Hi again ,

Back with more quickpage freebies . I know I said in my last post I would be back before I had to be back to work and I scheduled for it to post automatically , but it didn't post for some reason. So I'm posting it today finally .

But first some news . I will be closing my store page for now. Spring and summer is always busier with doing gardening and I spend more time outside. So I'm rarely on the computer. I save that mainly for the rainy days . Autumn and Winter this changes again and this Spring /Summer break will also give me some time to gather new fresh ideas and inspiration ,stock up on more new designs, resources etc.

Later in the year , once I'm not so busy gardening anymore I can reopen the store page. Don't worry, I will still post and have freebies for you, just not as often.

So what have I been up to since last post?

I've been enjoying the sunshine and seeing everything bloom and come to life.

Even the simple little flowers by roadside :)
I completed the second cross stitch sampler "Spring"
I have to wait for the Summer and Autumn one to be released later in the year , but the plan is to do those as well.
In the meantime I have already started another cross stitch project. This is quite a large one , so I expect this to keep me busy quite a while.
Plus I might carry on in between with the crochet project I started and had to abandon due to my arm and wrist hurting. That will teach me to sit there for hours and do repetitive hand movements....  now I will watch the time and have more breaks in between to prevent this from happening again.

I also want to get back to painting with my watercolours again. There's never enough time for everything I would like to do. So many plans , so little time !
But enough for now... let me give you the freebie and then I will get comfy on my bed and read that book I started last night.
Here is the link

I'll be back with more freebies :)
Until then ...
Stay healthy and creative

Spring quickpages freebie and updates

 Hello :)

Back with another freebie after a a break of over a month to let my wrist and arm heal. It's worked a treat and is like new . No more pain and the strength is also back . Cutting down severely on my work and project load to give it a rest was definitely worth it.

But I haven't been completely lazy in that time. I just had to stop activities with repeat movements, so I concentrated on some gardening and started some cross stitching instead , which is more gentle on those joints and muscles.

The spring flowers are blooming :)
I love all these colourful blooms popping out of the earth in my little garden corner .

These are the two cross stitch pictures I made so far. The larger sampler is called "Midwinter memories"  and is the first one in a set of 4 (one for each season) and the small one is called "Nature diaries" , a set of 12 , one for each month of the year.

I have already started the next one.

But it hasn't all been peaceful here.
Not only did we have some cases of Covid at work, but my son also brought it home. He got it quite hard, with high fever and could barely make it down the stairs from his bedroom to the toilet.
A few days later Beth , his girlfriend , also started feeling bad and tested positive.
So there's me , masked up and armed with bleach bottle , carrying trays of food and drink upstairs to put it in front of their door . Yup, they had to stay upstairs and could only come down to use the toilet.
It's a miracle I didn't get it myself being in one house with 2 Covid infected.

So now I have two lovely weeks off work recovering from Covid stress :)
By the time I'm back to work on April 1st I hope that people there are also healthy again and stopped spreading the virus.

The last days I have been spring cleaning , sorting through the lighter clothing , washing my curtains , repotting more plants, walking and cycling in the sun and watching some series on TV in the evenings, while doing my cross stitching.
I'm also trying to get some spring looks indoors. Aren't these bunnies cute ?
They are cheap resin figures from the £/$ Store and the colour looked ugly , but a few coats of white spray paint transformed them for my table Easter decoration.

And Spring is also the theme for the freebie today .
I have a pack of 3 Spring quickpages for you.
Here is the download link

Enjoy and I'll post next before I have to be back at work , most likely on the 31st of March .
Until then
Stay healthy and crafty

More Quickpage freebies

 Hi again :)

I'm back with another quickpage bundle for you.

The forced break is helping a lot. My arm and wrist feel a lot better already. Still not 100% as I don't have the strength in my hand back, but the pain is gone and I can move my wrist and arm without problem.

I'm still going to be careful and resting it as much as possible , but I have begun to do some light exercises of stretching and moving . I think in about a week I will start with some light dumbbells to get my strength back .

In the meantime I have been busy with other things that go easy on my arm.

Some light watercolour painting

A little lettering with simple painting
Planting some seeds . I even invested in a grow light and heat mat to get better results. Time will tell whether it works  or not.
And I took some pics of my lovely Amaryllis....
....and Orchid .Stunning winter blooms 💗

But now it's freebie time !
Here is the link for the "Dreams " quickpage bundle

Here a layout I made with one of them for a little better detail .
The pic was taken during lockdown beginning of last year.

I should maybe take a new one this year, but I don't really do the selfie thing very often these days😁

And that's all for now.
Tomorrow is a day off work and I plan to tidy up my little garden area behind the house ( if the weather allows it )
And maybe some more painting .

Until next time . I'll be back with another freebie .
